Project Overview
Dahil Republic of Couture instills rich culture into contemporary fashion, mixing traditional fabrics with indigenous (Kente) and other Africa-inspired printed fabrics, such as Ankara with 100% linen, silk, chiffon and dry lace. Head Designer Hilda Mauya creates raw, yet trendy designs for western society.
The opportunity came for Mirror Ink to work with DRC and Hilda, and we took it. Each year, DRC attends the Essence Festival, located in New Orleans, LA. We've have the opportunity to design the booth, event logistics and travel for three years for the DRC. The events were amazing, and we had a chance to spend time down in the bayou.
