CAPI USA and the City of Brooklyn Center present Twin Cities World Refugee Day 2020 (TCWRD2020).
Minnesota has a long history of welcoming new members into our communities, and we honor that tradition with this event. TCWRD provides a platform to welcome, honor and celebrate the contributions and cultures of Minnesota’s 120,000+ refugees, while also raising broader community awareness on the plight of refugees worldwide. Three refugee community leaders (i.e., Visionary, Innovator and Youth) are profiled along with 10-15 different cultural artists/groups and more than 70 organizations and vendors.
This family-friendly event is set to attract a diverse audience of 4,000+ people who have come to Minnesota from around the world. More than 20 nationalities will be represented and numerous community leaders are expected to be in attendance.
